Red Bull with a McLaren mixer crushed together please

So qualifying this morning proved that McLaren’s radical design really has paid off. After shelving their ambitious blown diffuser plans (for now) and the new upgrade remaining with the titanium diffuser (IE still not optimized) from the last race. Obviously Jenson and Lewis are more aquainted with the car and how to set it up and therefore qualifying was close between the two teams.

Despite topping Q2 with a 1 minute 25 dead, Button couldn’t repeat the feat and ended up 4th with lewis second in Q3. Red Bull resumed normal service with Vettel gaining pole by a tenth over the rest leaving his team-mate in third. It sets up a really exciting race at the front tommorow with McLarens better KERS and engines for the straights, furthermore last race red bull didn’t have their top gear set high enough to use DRS meaning it was useless for Webber.

It was the same story with Ferrari and Renault with both teams over a second down on the two front runners. Heidfeld will be very happy with qualifying behind Alonso in 6th and the team happy to recover from their brake/suspension woes.
